People with intellectual disability
- need to have a voice
- are valued members of the community
- have the same rights as everybody else

They also need to be leaders

People with intellectual disability need chances to develop skills

With the right skills we can make changes

Co-production is how we give a voice to people with intellectual disability

Co-production means doing research together

People with disability are researchers and part of every step

Co-production
- needs to be used as much as possible
- brings the most correct information

When we do co-production people share their lived experiences

We always work together to make a difference

At each step of co-production we
- ask for advice and feedback
- show what we made together
- talk about how to use resources we made

In co-production we give people resources to use
- and ask what we do next

People with intellectual disability
- what to work on
- know what we need to change

They also know what resources are needed

People with intellectual disability must have the
- best health care

- best education

Everything must be
- inclusive
- person-centred
- respectful

People with intellectual disability often hear
- bad things about them

For example people call them
- retarded
- impaired

This makes people upset

If people say bad things about us
- it can change what we think about us

We want everyone to be strength-based
- families
- health care workers
- teachers

Strength-based means to focus on what we can do

Together we can make positive change
