  • It goes to someone who does great work supporting people with intellectual disability
  • Jackie won this award for her excellent work

Inclusive Practice Award – New Awardee

GeneEQUAL announce yet another Inclusive Practice Award. 

Our new awardee is Dr David Manser.

Dr Manser is a clinical genetics doctor at Westmead Hospital, Sydney and was awarded an inclusive practice award because they

  • listened
  • are respectful and patient
  • drew pictures to explain
  • were accessible

when supporting health care for people with intellectual disability.

Dr Manser received the award on 16/10/2024.

Dr Emma Palmer awarded 2023 Jeanette Moss Award

Our very own Emma received the 2023 Jeanette Moss Award on Friday.

Since 1988, Self Advocacy Sydney has awarded every second year “J. Moss Award” to a person “who has done outstanding work in the field of intellectual disability”.
